Join the CTGMC this spring as we pay tribute to some of the greatest performers and songwriters of all time. From unforgettable chart-toppers to hidden gems, we'll bring together a stunning array of songs from the most celebrated voices, songwriters, and performers of the past five decades and beyond.
The Great Give is just around the corner! The Great Give raises money and awareness for hundreds of area nonprofit organizations. Donations go further with valuable matching funds and prizes from several additional generous sponsors. In 2024, nearly $3.8 million was raised for 500+ nonprofits. The 36-hour online fundraising event starts at 8 a.m. on May 7 and continues until 8 p.m. on May 8.

A message from our President:

The Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus has stood for nearly 40 years as a voice of pride, resilience, and community. After the pandemic silenced stages across the world, our chorus found a way to rebuild — and today, we sing louder and stronger than ever. I joined CTGMC after that time, inspired by the heart and hope that have kept this group thriving. Through music, we not only entertain, we connect, uplift, and open hearts.

Now, we’re asking for your support during one of our most important fundraisers of the year: The Great Give 2025. It’s second only to Bingomania in helping us meet essential needs like rehearsal space, concert venues, costumes, music, and more.

Advance giving starts May 2 at 8:00am, but the real moment to show up is during The Great Give main event: May 7 at 8:00am through May 8 at 8:00pm!

Gifts during those 36 hours qualify for the most bonus prizes and matching funds — making every dollar go further.

If you can, give during the main event — and even better, give more than once — every donation boosts our chances to win extra awards!

Early gifts still count toward matches and are truly appreciated, but the biggest impact happens when we all show up together.

Visit the link below to donate (or even start your own fundraiser!) to help amplify our reach.

Thank you for believing in the power of music and community. We can’t wait to sing for you — and we can’t do it without you.

In gratitude,
Nick Lovell
CTGMC President

Founded in 1986,
the Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus was the first organization of its kind in Connecticut and is proud to be a part of LGBT history.

The chorus continues to inspire other arts-based community organizations around New England. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Greg McMahan, the CTGMC is proud to maintain its high level of performance standards while maintaining its signature blend of humor and personality.

Our next auditions will be in September for our Holiday 2025 performances. If you'd like to be contacted nearer to that time about signing up for an audition, or just want more information, click the JOIN US button below!

We welcome male singers over age 18 and of all orientations. Previous choral experience is preferred but not necessary—all we ask is your commitment to attend Tuesday rehearsals and that you enjoy the experience, camaraderie, and musicianship. Please prepare a song that showcases your talent; a pianist will be provided.

The CTGMC performs at, as well as supports, an ever-increasing number of community outreach organizations to raise funds and awareness of a variety of social and LGBT programs.

We aim to portray the very best of the gay community in an authentic way. And, to further our mission of building bridges between the gay community and the community at large, we now welcome men of all orientations to join us in song and fellowship.

Thanks to our successful monthly fundraiser Bingomania and our family of donors and sponsors, we are not only committed to keeping our ticket prices affordable, but we are able to set aside 10% of our tickets to offer to LGBT youth, AIDS outreach, and other social outreach programs at no cost.
