The Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus, now beginning its 32nd season,
was named “Best Vocal Group in Connecticut” in a recent
Connecticut Magazine Readers’ Poll.

The CtGMC presents two concert series each season in December and April.

In addition, the CtGMC has been a guest artist group at many other venues, including Provincetown, MA as a guest of the Provincetown Business Guild, the Ivoryton Playhouse, the Little Theatre of Manchester, the University of Connecticut at Storrs, and the Gard Arts Center in New London.
Community Outreach is a central part of the CtGMC’s mission, and recent events have benefited organizations such as Hearts of Strangers, True Colors, Spirit of Life, CT Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, and Alliance for Living.

The CtGMC also produces a monthly Bingomania! hosted by screen legend “Joan Crawford” at the Annex Club in New Haven. Thousands of people attend CtGMC events and performances each year.

The CtGMC has received extensive media coverage throughout its history, including feature stories in the New York Times, the New Haven Register, Connecticut Magazine, the Connecticut Post, the Hartford Courant, the Danbury News-Times, the Day of New London, the Shoreline Times, and the New Haven and Hartford Advocates, as well as coverage on television stations WTNH, WVIT, FOX-61, and radio stations including WQUN, WTIC, WPKN, and NPR stations.
Charter Oak Performing Arts, Inc. (COPA) is the corporate parent of the CtGMC. CtGMC/COPA is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, whose concert schedule is made possible in part by the generous support of corporations and individual donors.
